German GP '1000 per cent' certain for 2016 - organiser

The 2016 German Grand Prix will definitely happen according to venue manager Georg Seiler, following doubts after this year's event was removed from the calendar. The event, which was supposed to take place at the Nurburgring, was removed after it came to light that the organisers couldn't afford the hosting fee. Despite efforts to save it, which included a reduced fee, Mercedes offering to pay half and the possibility of relocating it to Hockenheim, it dropped off the F1 calendar for the first time in over 50 years.
