Barcelona extends contract

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, constituted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the RACC and the City Council of Montmelo, along with the City Council of Barcelona, today reached an agreement with F1 group CEO, Bernie Ecclestone, establishing that the event will continue to be hosted in Barcelona until 2019. With the renewed agreement, the Catalan track, which first hosted the Spanish Grand Prix in 1991, ensures the event is hosted for three additional years after the end of the current contract in 2016.
