Caterham's Leafield factory to be sold

The former headquarters of the Caterham Formula 1 team in Leafield, Oxfordshire are to be sold. The 28-acre Leafield Technical Centre, which provided a testing facility for Caterham, includes 150,000 sq ft of buildings, including offices. Caterham, which folded before the start of the 2015 season, moved to Leafield in 2012 from its factory in Hingham, Norfolk. All of the team's assets were put up for auction earlier this year. BNP Paribas Real Estate and Carter Jonas have been appointed by its receivers to sell the Leafield factory. The sellers are seeking offers in excess of £5.5 million.
