Ricciardo emphasises the importance of DRS in Spain

Daniel Ricciardo has emphasised the importance of the Drag Reduction System [DRS] around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix next weekend. With the track itself well known to all of the teams and drivers due to testing, the Red Bull racer believes the addition of the device prevents races from becoming too dull. The DRS device, which was introduced to the sport for the 2011 season, enables a driver to open up a flap on the rear-wing when deployed, which as the name suggests reduces drag and enables the driver in question to gain an advantage into a braking zone and potentially complete an overtaking manoeuvre.
