Hulkenberg completes WEC debut in 6th place

Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg has been part of the driver squad that finished in 6th place in the 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps. Hulkenberg made his WEC racing debut yesterday, driving a Porsche 919 Hybrid alongside Nick Tandy & Earl Bamber. Starting from 2nd place, their No. 19 car was damaged in the early stages of the race, resulting in the car falling to the back of the LMP1 class. This was due to a clash between Tandy & a backmarker Porsche 911. Pitting for repairs, their car fell out of contention for a podium finish before Hulkenberg took over driving duties on Lap 32.
