Audi ‘has no intention to enter Formula 1’
Audi have once again dismissed suggestions it is poised to enter Formula 1. There has been consistent speculation that a Volkswagen Group brand is on the verge of launching a project involving F1, which was seemingly strengthened in recent days by the departure of its chief Ferdinand Piech. Piech stood down from his position after losing out in a power struggle with the VW Group board, with Martin Winterkorn set to assume his position as the head of the world's second largest car manufacturer.
