Teams to ask EC for FIA probe?

It is believed a number of teams are considering whether to ask the European Commission to investigate the FIA. With Caterham having gone under and Marussia rescued at the eleventh hour, MEP Annaliese Dodds - in whose constituency many of those who lost their jobs lived - wrote to the European regulators last November calling on them to investigate the FIA and the way it handles F1. Ms Dodds wanted to know how it is that the FIA has allowed a situation to come about whereby three teams - Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull received 46% of the sport's £484m prize pot and the top six teams have seats on the all-important Strategy Group.
