Hamilton tops UK sport wealth list

Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has again been named as the UK's wealthiest sportsman. In the annual Sunday Times Sport Rich List, Hamilton topped the pile with a fortune of £88m, an increase of £20m compared to last year. Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney jumped ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button into second place in the list, with a fortune of £72m, £1m more than the racer. Button nonetheless remains substantially clear of fourth-place on the list, which is occupied by tennis player Andy Murray, who has £48m.
