Wolff: ‘Nico proved doubters wrong'

Toto Wolff has defended his driver Nico Rosberg's recent travails and says that Bahrain proved how good the German driver really is. Rosberg has been left solidly in Lewis Hamilton's wake so far this season. Having competed strongly with Lewis in 2014, Hamilton's victory in the title chase seems to have dented Rosberg's confidence somewhat, with Nico trailing Hamilton in every important session this season. Bahrain saw Rosberg suddenly show some aggression, being required to do some overtaking after being outqualified by Sebastian Vettel, and then passed at the start by Kimi Raikkonen.
