Hamilton really happy with Mercedes pace
Lewis Hamilton says he is 'really happy' with his performance on the first day of free practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix, even if he echoed team-mate Nico Rosberg's suggestion that Ferrari appear strong in race trim. The Briton – who topped every session of the Chinese Grand Prix – spent the morning focusing on long runs in the hot daytime temperatures, before concentrating on set-up in the more representative ambience of FP2. A tenth slower than team-mate Rosberg by the end of the day, and four tenths clear of Kimi Raikkonen in third, Hamilton signalled pleasure with his performance, saying he feels stronger than he did during the similarly hot temperatures of Malaysia. “It's...
