Chinese podium girl: ‘Foreign media more sensitive than local'
The Chinese GP podium girl at the centre of this week's champagne spraying outcry says that she feels the whole situation was blown out of proportion by foreign media. After Lewis Hamilton won the Chinese Grand Prix last weekend, he sprayed champagne on the podium as an F1 winner is wont to do. Just like the majority of girls who are put on the podium to provide some local glamour, the girls on the Chinese podium didn't escape the attentions of Lewis Hamilton. The reigning Champion was pictured spraying one of the girls in the face with bubbly, her face appearing to grimace.
