Alonso hoping positive momentum continues in Bahrain

Fernando Alonso is hoping McLaren's positive progress and momentum will continue at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix. Despite both of the Woking-based outfit's drivers being eliminated from Q1 and failing to score points at the last race in China, the Spaniard is pleased with the steps forward being made. However, he does not expect the Bahrain International Circuit to suit the MP4-30. 'For me, China was a significant step forward for us and particularly for me as it’s the longest race distance I have done so far,' Alonso said.
