Penalties & Points for Button & Merhi

Both Jenson Button & Roberto Merhi have picked up time penalties and points on their licences for incidents during the Chinese Grand Prix. Jenson Button has been given a 5 second time penalty for his part in the collision with Pastor Maldonado in the closing stages of today's race. The McLaren driver had been dicing with the Lotus when he attempted to dive up the inside of Pastor into Turn 1, when the Venezuelan had closed the door. Button was unable to avoid contact and the pair collided, spinning the Lotus off while Jenson picked up front wing damage. Both were able to continue, but Pastor retired shortly after with brake problems attributed to the collision. Jenson apologised over team...
