Button penalised for Maldonado collision

McLaren Honda McLaren driver Jenson Button has been penalised after colliding with Pastor Maldonado during the closing stages of the Chinese Grand Prix. Button and Maldonado were scrapping outside of the top 10 when the Briton clipped the back of his rival under braking for Turn 1. Maldonado retired shortly after the collision while Button went on to finish in 13th position. The race stewards confirmed that Button accepted responsibility and handed him a five second time penalty, which drops him behind Carlos Sainz Jr. in the race classification.
