Ferrari “disappointed” not to lock out second row
Ferrari’s technical director James Allison said he was “disappointed” with Kimi Raikkonen’s qualifying performance in the Chinese Grand Prix, and believes his cars should have locked out the second row behind Mercedes. Raikkonen will only start from sixth on the grid, and complained of a lack of grip in the first sector of his final qualifying lap. He was almost three tenths down on teammate Sebastian Vettel’s third placed time. “We’re a bit disappointed we’re not P3 and 4,” said Allison. “There was the pace to be 3 and 4, but there you go. “There was a little bit more oversteer today than yesterday, but the car was pretty well balanced."
