Maldonado hoping for clean Chinese GP weekend

Pastor Maldonado says he is hoping for a clean Chinese Grand Prix weekend and remains optimistic Lotus can score its first points of 2015. The Venezuelan driver suffered a disappointing last race in Malaysia. Contact with Valtteri Bottas on lap one caused a puncture and floor damage, and he later retired with brake problems. 'It was very good for the team that we are in a position to fight for points on a different track,' he said. 'It was very hot and in those conditions the car didn’t look bad. 'During the race, even with the damage we had from the floor after the contact from Valtteri Bottas in the first corner, our pace was very consistent. 'We had a couple of small reliability issues...
