Piquet tops shortened session – FP1 Report

It was first blood to Nelson Piquet Jr. who topped the first practice session by a quarter of a second ahead of Bruno Senna. An early morning start beckoned for the Formula E field as the first of the three 25-minute sessions got underway. Unlike the last round in Miami, there were no delays in starting the practice session as the e.dams-Renault pair of Nicolas Prost and Sebastien Buemi lead the charge out of the pit lane. Scott Speed was the first man to suffer dramas, the Andretti man was stranded out on the circuit for a couple of minutes whilst his team attempted to solve the car’s technical bugs.
