Manor F1 hits the track for first time

Manor F1 has made its first on track appearance in 2015 after both Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi got out on track in FP1 ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Having been forced to miss the Australian Grand Prix after issues getting its software dialled into the car – a modified version of its 2014 machine – Manor finally wheeled onto track in FP1, with Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi completing eight laps apiece. Using a 2014-specification Ferrari power unit, Stevens and Merhi turned in lap times of 1min 46.686secs and 1min 47.683secs, 6.5 and 7.45secs off Nico Rosberg's session-leading lap time. FP2 gets underway at 14.00 local time (06.00 GMT)
