Mercedes used most tokens on 2015 power unit
Out of the three engine manufacturers from 2014, Mercedes used the most tokens to improve their power units for 2015. As the dominant power unit from 2014, many expected that Mercedes would slowly evolve their power unit for this season. However, that doesn't seem to be the case, as the German marque have actually been the most aggressive in terms of using their engine tokens on their 2015 power unit. The manufacturers have been given 32 ‘tokens' with which they can change elements of their power unit as they chase more power, reliability, drivability and fuel economy.
