F1 2015 Australian GP: Teams late in tyre, hotel payments

Tyres for the 2015 season opener were only released by Pirelli to three teams one day ago, it has emerged. As small teams struggle to survive, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that three teams had failed to pay the official tyre supplier as recently as March 11 — Wednesday. The news follows Lotus, Force India and Sauber being promised an advance in official prize money by Bernie Ecclestone due to a cash flow crisis. The report said the cost per year of a supply of Pirelli tyres is EUR 2 million per team.
