Some F1 teams struggle to pay hotels and tyre bills

It has emerged that tyres for the 2015 Formula 1 season opening Australian Grand Prix, in Melbourne this weekend, were only released by Pirelli to three teams one day ago. As small teams struggle to survive, Auto Motor und Sport reports that three teams had failed to pay the official tyre supplier as recently as Wednesday. The news follows Lotus, Force India and Sauber being promised an advance in official prize money by Bernie Ecclestone due to a cash flow crisis. The report said the cost per year of a supply of Pirelli tyres is 2 million per team. There are also reports that at least one team had to change accommodation for Melbourne, because its hotel demanded payment in advance. But...
