Sauber appeal against van der Garde court decision
The legal tussle between Sauber and Giedo van der Garde continues to rumble on after the Formula 1 team lodged an official appeal against the Supreme Court's decision to rule in the Dutch driver's favour. The appeal will be heard on Thursday (12th March) in Victoria, Australia, just hours day ahead of Free Practice one which begins in Albert Park at 12.30PM on Friday. Mr Justice Croft ruled van der Garde had been unfairly dismissed after he had acted as Sauber's F1 test driver in 2014 but was not retained by Sauber for the new season despite assurances.
