Roberto Merhi selected as second driver Manor

Roberto Merhi, currently also racing in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series for team Pons, will drive for Manor in Australia and possibly also in Malaysia and beyond. The Spanish, 23 year old driver had previously some free practice drives from Caterham last year. His previous open wheel experiences were in the FR 2.0 Series, Formula 3 and GP3. He also raced from 2012 to 2013 in the DTM as a driver for Mercedes. Merhi is stated not to bring sponsor money along, with further racing for Manor depending on when and if he can find a sponsor. He will join Will Stevens at Manor, also previous driver for Caterham, who was already confirmed at February the 5th.
