F1 2015 Season Preview: Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg
MERCEDES – SET FOR MORE DOMINATION Many expected Mercedes to be the team to beat in 2014, but few could have predicted just how dominant the Brackley-based outfit was. The record-breaking year yielded 16 wins, 18 pole positions and one of the most intense title fights in Formula 1’s recent history. The W05 proved to be quick and reliable right from the very start, completing lap after lap during pre-season testing as Mercedes’ rivals struggled with reliability problems. The team got to grips with F1’s new regulations and era almost perfectly, leaving the rest of the grid playing catch-up. Nestled amongst the success, however, were a handful of errors and mistakes.
