Mercedes unveils new safety and medical cars

+ Mercedes has revealed the GT S as Formula 1's new safety car, as well as a new medical car in the form of the C63 S Estate. The 510 bhp GT S replaces the gull-wing SLS AMG, which served as the sport’s safety car for five years. Both the GT S and the C63 S are largely unchanged from the production models, with the only differences being a modified performance exhaust system to create a louder engine note and an aerodynamic light bar on the top. Additionally, the C63 S has adapted suspension to allow for the weight of four passengers plus medical equipment. The new cars will debut at the 2015 season opener in Australia next weekend.
