Sauber Faces Court By van der Garde

Dutchman Giedo van der Garde has launched legal action against the Sauber team in which he asserts his right to be on the starting grid of the Australian Grand Prix. Such is the urgency of the case, Giedo is seeking a hearing in the Victorian Supreme Court on Monday, four days ahead of Australian race practice, in the hope of a successful outcome. He states that he was guaranteed a place on the 2015 team on June 28th 2014, but bosses backed out of the deal in November. Giedo has already taken the case to the Arbitration Institution in Switzerland who ordered Sauber to keep him on the team.
