Lotus pleased with engine, chassis gains

– Lotus Technical Director Nick Chester reckons the team is in a much stronger position this year with its new Mercedes-powered E23 Hybrid.Lotus endured a torrid 2014 season, scoring just 10 points over 19 races and placing eighth in the standings, ahead of only Marussia, Sauber and Caterham.But having swapped from the Renault to Mercedes power unit, and overhauled its chassis, Chester is confident that 2015 will yield stronger results."This year is looking a lot better," Chester told the official Lotus website."The power unit is a big step forward. The chassis is also a step forward, the drivers can get a lot more from it and it's easier to drive on the limit as well...
