Force India VJM08 hits the track

Force India's new car has finally hit the track, following weeks of delays. Force India announced yesterday that they would miss the opening day of the final test, instead choosing to concentrate on preparing their new VJM08 for track action today. A little earlier than expected, the VJM08 was fired up and sent out on track this morning for an installation lap with Nico Hulkenberg at the wheel. The lap wasn't without incident, as Nico picked up a puncture during the three and a half mile reconnaissance, returning to the pits with a deflated left rear. The car is not expected to return to the track until after the lunchtime break, but a full program is planned over the next two and half...
