Hamilton fastest on first morning of final test

CLICK HERE for Thursday AM results Lewis Hamilton leads the way on the first morning of F1 pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya as Mercedes once again hinted at its ultimate pace. Following Nico Rosberg's eye-catching lap time in the medium rubber earlier in the week, Hamilton emulated him early on in the day, turning in a best time of 1min 24.881secs on the tyres and completing a full 48 laps. On a morning disrupted towards the end by inclement weather conditions, Felipe Massa moved up to second place just before the heavens opened, ahead of Daniil Kvyat, who recovered from an early stop at the pit exit to complete 45 laps in the Red Bull.
