Alonso out of hospital; Magnussen to test in Spain

Fernando Alonso has been discharged from the Spanish hospital in which he was staying following his high-speed crash at the Circuit de Catalunya last Sunday, but his McLaren team have confirmed he will not participate in the final test that begins this Thursday. The Spaniard was airlifted to hospital after crashing heavily exiting the fast turn three corner in his McLaren-Honda, and spent three nights recuperating before being allowed home on Wednesday. “Following his testing accident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last Sunday, we are pleased to confirm that Fernando Alonso has now left hospital,” said a statement from McLaren. “He has returned to his family’s home in Spain...
