Alonso leaves hospital, misses final test

Fernando Alonso has finally been discharged from hospital following his accident in Barcelona, but he will miss the final pre-season test. The McLaren driver left the Circuit de Catalunya between Turns 3 and 4 on Sunday morning and made contact with the wall. He was airlifted to hospital where he was diagnosed with a concussion, but his team revealed that he was 'given the all-clear following CT scans and MRI scans'. However, he spent three nights in hospital before finally being released on Wednesday afternoon. The Spaniard has now returned home, but McLaren have confirmed he won't take part in the final test.
