New Force India to miss first day of test

Force India is aiming to run its new Formula One car on Friday, on the second day of the final test of the pre-season at Barcelona. The Silverstone-based team skipped the first test at Jerez and then tested with its 2014 car last week at Barcelona, amids rumours of financial problems. Force India had stated it always aimed to have the VJM08 ready for the final test, and COO Otmar Szafnauer confirmed on Wednesday the goal is to have the car running from Friday. "The VJM08 will arrive in Barcelona on Friday morning and the final set up will take place in the garage at the track," said Szafnauer.
