Alonso set for further tests in intensive care

Fernando Alonso could remain in hospital for another night as doctors assess his condition following an accident during testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. The Spaniard was airlifted to hospital after crashing his McLaren-Honda into the inside wall on the exit of turn three during the final day of F1 testing in Barcelona. He was later diagnosed with a concussion after a CT scan, though the team says he is otherwise 'uninjured'. Spending a night in hospital, though Alonso was admitted to the intensive care unit, it is stressed that this is standard procedure in these instances.
