Concussed Alonso to remain in hospital overnight

McLaren Honda McLaren says that Fernando Alonso will remain in hospital overnight for observations, having suffered a concussion during a pre-season testing accident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday. Alonso hit the wall on the inside of Turn 3 and was transferred to the circuit Medical Centre before being airlifted to a nearby hospital. "Fernando’s accident was just one of those things that happens in testing," said McLaren Racing Director Eric Boullier.
