Unwell Hamilton forced to cut short testing at Barcelona

+ Lewis Hamilton has been forced to cut short the opening day of the first Barcelona pre-season test due to feeling unwell. The reigning world champion completed 11 laps in the opening 90 minutes of the morning session before opting to sit out the remainder of the day’s running. Mercedes test driver Pascal Wehrlein, who had been driving for Force India, will replace the unwell Hamilton at the wheel of the W06. Wehrlein completed ten laps for Force India in the team’s 2014 car, before getting the call to replace Hamilton.
