F1 introduces rules change for helmet designs

Formula 1 drivers will be restricted to a single helmet design per season under new rules set to be introduced. Having previously introduced a system whereby drivers retain one race number for their entire F1 careers, the F1 commission is now proposing that drivers also stick to one basic helmet livery. According to the report from Autosport, the move, which is yet to be ratified by the World Motor Sport Council, is intended to create the same sort of stability as the permanent race numbers.
