Drivers limited to one helmet design per season
Formula 1 drivers will be banned from changing the design of their helmet during the season in a move F1 bosses believe will help fans to identify drivers more easily. The proposal was put forward in 2013 but rejected. However during Tuesday's F1 Commission meeting in Geneva, the ban was put forward again and this time received enough support. Therefore a driver must start the season and end it with the same or a very similar design, with only minor modifications allowed for things like sponsors. It follows a recent change which has seen drivers assigned permanent race numbers in a bid to help promote them and the sport and to help fans identify them more easily. The rule change will put...
