Palmer to drive E23 on Friday

Jolyon Palmer will get his first taste of the Lotus E23 when he takes to the track at Barcelona on Friday. The reigning GP2 champion, who is the Enstone outfit's third driver this season, will take over the car from Pastor Maldonado, who drives the car on the opening day of the test tomorrow. Palmer will then hand the car back to the Venezuelan on Saturday before Romain Grosjean gets his hands on the E23 on Sunday. 'I won't be driving until Sunday at the #Barcelona #testing,' tweeted the Frenchman this morning. 'Missing #e23 but no long to wait...'
