Teams block Marussia's 2014 car request
– Marussia's hopes of returning to the Formula 1 grid appear to be over, after a selection of rival teams voted against the outfit using its 2014 car.During a meeting of F1's Strategy Group in Paris on Thursday, the team did not receive the unanimous support it needed to run an older chassis.If it had returned to the grid, Marussia would have been entitled to the commercial rights income it earned for finishing ninth in last year's standings.But with a comeback blocked, that revenue is due to be shared amongst the existing teams."They wanted to come in with last year's car and it didn't get accepted," Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone told the Independent.
