Manor's hopes dashed as teams reject use of '14 car
Manor GP's last minute plans to make the grid in Australia have been dealt a major blow which will likely see the team unable to compete altogether. Earlier this week it was revealed that a group of investors had planned to rescue the team and had already paid the FIA's entry fee to compete. However during a Strategy Group meeting in Paris on Thursday aimed at discussing the sport's future, the teams also voted on whether Manor should be able to use their 2014 chassis this year. It's believed a number of teams rejected the proposal, despite an earlier indication last year that they would support the idea if it meant the survival of a team.
