Vettel quickest in Jerez on day two of testing

Sebastian Vettel topped the times for the second day in a row, keeping Ferrari ahead of its rivals in Jerez on Tuesday. The German's quickest lap, a 1:20.984, was posted during a rapid sequence of laps in the morning session, placing him almost a second ahead of Sauber's Felipe Nasr. The afternoon saw rain and therefore sealed many of the times, with Valtteri Bottas taking third ahead of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton who clocked up the most laps at 91. A water leak for the reigning world champion ended his day early. Max Verstappen debuted the Toro Rosso and was over a second quicker than Pastor Maldonado in the Lotus.
