Ricciardo encouraged by Red Bull ‘step forward’

Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo says he is encouraged by his new RB11 following the first day of F1 testing in Jerez, despite niggling issues limiting track time. Resplendent in a special camouflage livery which will be used during testing, the RB11 broke cover for the first time as it exited the pit garage for the first day of testing and began fairly strongly. Indeed, the Australian enjoyed bursts of pace over the course of the day, but technical issues would consign him to the pit lane for prolonged periods of time before it was decide to conclude early so the team could focus on fixing the issue for tomorrow.
