Honda allowed engine development in 2015
– Honda will be able to develop its new power unit across the course of the 2015 season after being given allowances to do so by the FIA.Existing power unit suppliers Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari discovered a loophole in the regulations that allows each to use 32 'tokens' - which permits it to upgrade 48% of the power unit - across the duration of the 2015 season, rather than the homologation deadline of February 28, to which it was bound in 2014 and to which it was initially believed would be applied again this year.Honda had originally been told to homologate its power unit before February 28 and would be restricted from making updates throughout the year, but the FIA has relaxed...
