FIA considering change to engine rules
– Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, is considering whether or not to make further changes to the regulations after holding discussions with returning engine manufacturer Honda earlier this week.Honda representatives met with Race Director Charlie Whiting on Monday to talk over a recent clarification to the engine homologation rules.With the rulebook lacking a specific freeze date, the FIA has agreed that Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari can bring updates to their engines during the season.However, Honda has been informed that it must homologate its power unit by February 28, the same date imposed on manufacturers last year.A spokesman for the FIA explained to GPUpdate.net that...
