Paffett critical of new super licence points system

Former McLaren test driver Gary Paffett has hit out at the new points system introduced by the FIA for the awarding of super licences in the future. Earlier this week, Formula 1's governing body revealed a new points scheme for future super licence candidates, rewarding drivers for success in junior championships and other series such as IndyCar and the World Endurance Championship. However, the German touring car championship, the DTM, has been omitted from the points system, meaning that drivers cannot score any points towards securing the licence required to race in F1 by taking part in the series.
