The 2014 season was undoubtedly one to forget for Lotus, after recurring mechanical gremlins scuppered any hope the team had of securing competitive and consistent results. Such unreliability even led to outbursts of sheer frustration from Romain Grosjean, who became renowned for his colourful complaints over the team radio throughout the year.
