Formula 1 set for another engine revolution in 2016

New F1 turbo engine era not popular with Bernie Ecclestone Formula 1 is now speeding towards yet another new set of engine regulations, as reports have emerged that during a meeting of the Strategy Group in Geneva Thursday, Bernie Ecclestone proposed to scrap the current V6 turbo rules. Michael Schmidt, of Auto Motor und Sport, said that although his proposal did not produce a 'definitive result', the sport is now headed towards an all-new set of regulations for 2016. 'The engines are to be louder, more powerful and cheaper,' said Schmidt on Friday. 'The goal is 1000 horse power and a cost of 10 million euros per team.
