Williams F1 appoints Nielsen sporting manager

Williams has appointed Steve Nielsen as sporting manager, with Nielsen joining from Toro Rosso with immediate effect. Nielsen has been sporting director at Toro Rosso since 2013 but has a long history in F1, having worked in the sport for 27 years. His previous roles include being team manager at Tyrrell, Honda and Arrows, while he has also been sporting director at Benetton/Renault and Caterham.
