Verstappen picks #33 as permanent F1 number
Max Verstappen has confirmed that he will be racing with #33 in Formula 1 after picking his permanent number ahead of his debut in Australia next March.
The 17-year-old will smash the record for being the youngest ever driver to start a Formula 1 race, replacing the outgoing Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat at Toro Rosso. Verstappen will be joined by Carlos Sainz Jr. for 2015.
Today on Twitter, the Dutchman confirmed that he will be running with #33 in F1, having used it during his junior racing career.
'So guys I'm ready to announce my number for next season,' Verstappen said. 'Did take a while to decide but I have chosen it now.
