Domenicali gets FIA single-seater role

– Ex-Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has been named as the new President of the FIA's single-seater commission, replacing Gerhard Berger.Berger, who was appointed by the governing body in late 2011, announced in October that he would be standing down at the end of the year.Berger pushed for a simplified path to Formula 1 during his tenure, and was instrumental in the FIA's European Formula 3 and Formula 4 categories.Domenicali's arrival was confirmed at this week's World Motor Sport Council meeting in Qatar, when the leaders of all Sporting Commissions were approved.Domenicali adds the role to his position at Audi, where the Italian is responsible for "the development of...
